Pretty in Pink….

Richard and I managed to be in two places at once last Sunday. I photographed the Habberley Fun Ride whilst Richard photographed the Pink Potter with the help of the intrepid Jack Sagar. An awful lot of hard work went into the organisation of the Pink Potter by Linda Sagar and the committee, assisted by Edward Tate from the Isle Estate who could not have been more obliging and helpful…so it was very nice to see the cars rolling up with their occupants and dogs wearing varying shades of pink. At the last count the Pink Potter raised around £2000 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer…

The Habberley Fun Ride was well attended also, with spectacular views of the South Shropshire Hills.  All the riders taking part seemed to be enjoying themselves…

The photographs from both events can be found on the CountryStyle Photography website.

We have a nice varied weekend coming up. On Saturday 11th June we shall be alongside the River Severn at the Bridgnorth Regatta…and Sunday shall see us beside the sea in North Wales at the Kinmel Park Fun Ride. Hope this weather improves!

The Pink Potter…

Well the weather looks promising, the location is beautiful, the cakes are being baked…all we need now is for you to attend! This coming Sunday 5th June is the first ‘Pink Potter’ at the Isle Estate, Bicton by kind permision of Mr & Mrs Edward Tate. There are three routes or ‘potters’ of varying length’s to encompass the wonderful countryside and beautiful river Severn views. Dogs on leads are very welcome…especially if they are wearing pink! In fact hopefully everybody will be wearing pink! So bring the dog, bring your Aunty…make it a family day out! There will be lots of added attractions on the day for potterers of all ages, and if you want a family photograph in a stunning location CountryStyle Photography will be happy to oblige. All proceeds from the day are going to Breakthrough Breast Cancer, a very worthwhile cause.  Linda Sagar has worked tirelessly organising the day, as she did for the Pink Funride last year which raised over £6000 for the charity…if you have any queries she can be contacted on 01743 891744 or 07840 365474. So if you fancy a potter on Sunday the Isle at Bicton is the place to be…and dont forget to wear pink!

Ne’er cast a clout till May be out…

Well my clout was firmly in place last weekend, as it has been for most of May! And if this weather continues my clout will be in place through June as well! It was a tad chilly at Asterley on Saturday for the Pony Club mounted games…although watching the youngsters vault on and off their ponies with such ease made me feel warmer. And then we had the Isle funride on Sunday! One word will describe that day very well…windy! I sat in our event trailer feeling slightly seasick as it rocked back and forth in the wind. I also sat there wondering if the portaloo opposite was about to join me in our event trailer as that also swayed back and forth on its base. But apart from a few frisky horses and windswept riders the day went without mishap. The turnout as usual was very good with 260 entrants…all the photographs from the Isle fun ride, and the mounted games can be found on the CountryStyle Photography website. If you missed it the next funride at the Isle organised by the North Shropshire Hunt is on the 14th August. In the meantime we are photographing the Morville Countryside Club funride this Sunday 29th May and the Habberley funride next Sunday 5th June. Dont forget it is also the ‘Pink Potter’ on the 5th June at the Isle, Bicton…more on that later!
